At X Takeover, where the most Tesla enthusiasts in the world take center stage, we’re always happy to showcase “Red Rocket”, our 2024 Tesla Model 3 Performance. Because in all honesty, we take pride in showing you and oftentimes proving to you that you don’t have to choose between daily comfort and track-capable performance when building out your Tesla. This Ultra Red beauty of a car is built to impress in the paddock, the parking lot, and the canyons; all while being practical enough for the weekly grocery run. Hell… we would even go out of our way to say this Tesla platform is reliable enough to hit the track with our UP upgrades and make it’s way back after some track fun (It’s true, we’ve done it… multiple times.
Red Rocket is a glimpse into the attainable future of EV performance tuning. It’s a car you can build, drive, and live with every day. And while its aggressive stance and sharp carbon fiber exterior scream “track car,” it’s as composed on the street as it is competent on a time sheet.
Underneath, it’s loaded with Unplugged Performance upgrades that form the backbone of our street-meets-track ethos. From Race Pro Coilovers paired with our Adaptive Suspension Canceller Kit, to a complete set of billet camber and toe arms, front upper control arms, and Street & Track Sway Bars, Red Rocket rides on a suspension that’s as precise as it is refined. It’s firm when you need it to be and compliant enough to handle daily driving duties.
Its powertrain? Completely stock. The new-generation Model 3 Performance already brings 510 horsepower and a 0–60 time of 2.9 seconds, so we left and always leave that untouched. The car’s blistering performance comes from its handling setup and aerodynamic efficiency.
That brings us to one of the most striking elements of Red Rocket—its carbon fiber. Developed for the refreshed 2024+ Model 3 Performance, this Model 3 Performance exterior aero has been tested extensively and is continuing to enter production allocation for customers. This is the same carbon fiber used on our time attack builds. It’s not for looks… this is designed for function.
The Front Carbon Fiber Aero Kit features a front lip spoiler, racing diffuser, canards, and deflectors—each designed to reduce lift, improve airflow, and sharpen handling response at speed. Paired with our rear trunk spoiler, carbon diffuser, rear spats and a race-derived rear wing, the full system helps keep the car planted and stable.
Finishing the build is a set of UP Forged UP-03 Wheels wrapped in Yokohama ADVAN A052 tires. These wheels were engineered to take abuse on track, but they also deliver daily comfort with a lightweight, refined ride that make this car look just as motorsport as possible.
Red Rocket is here to show what’s possible. Everything you see on the car is either shipping now or entering final production stages. It’s a build made for enthusiasts who want a true driver’s car that doesn’t compromise on design, engineering, or daily drivability.
