1. Product Warranty
Unplugged Performance warrants that all products sold directly by us or through Authorized Installers or Dealers are free from defects in materials and workmanship for the following periods from the date of purchase, provided they are installed by Unplugged Performance or an Authorized Installer.
At Unplugged Performance, with few exceptions, our standard warranty is that we warrant that all merchandise sold by Unplugged Performance shall be free from defects in materials and workmanship for a period of 2 years with unlimited mileage and unlimited paved racetrack use, as long as the vehicle is in the possession of the original owner. All exceptions are listed below.
Exceptions to the standard warranty are as follows:
- Consumable Products: Products such as brake pads, rotors, tires, and other components are considered consumable and natural consumption wear is not covered by any warranty. Fit and function is covered as part of the standard warranty.
- Normal Wear and Tear: Most Unplugged Performance products come in contact with rocks, dirt, road debris, and other hazards everyday. These hazards can cause visual degradation of products that do not affect their function. These visual degradations are not covered by the standard warranty. Rust occurring from damage to surface finishes as a result of normal wear and tear is not covered under warranty.
- Suspension and Brake Parts NVH: Suspension and brake components are not guaranteed to operate silently in all circumstances. Warranty covers functionality but not noise stemming from normal operation.
- Suspension Parts Off Road: Suspension parts are not indestructible and extreme off-roading such as jumping, off-road racing, and aggressive operation in extreme heat or cold may cause accelerated wear or the possibility of failure. This use is not covered by the standard Warranty.
- Suspension and Brake Parts in Extreme Environments: Suspension and brake parts are not indestructible and extreme environments such as frequent operation in sand such as in the desert, frequent operation in salt such as in the salt flats, frequent operation in water such as in a swamp or similar environment. This use is not covered by the standard Warranty. Occasional use in extreme environments with proper cleaning and maintenance is covered.
- Carbon Fiber: Carbon fiber products have specific customer requirements to maintain visual beauty over time and the standard warranty does not apply. Please see details covered under Section 2: UP Carbon Fiber Parts Warranty & Disclaimer.
- Steel Parts: Steel parts are designed to be incredibly tough and as such may change the way the vehicle performs in a crash. Please refer to and agree with Section 3: Steel Body Parts Disclaimer.
- Urethane Body Parts: Urethane parts and painted parts must be painted and installed by either Unplugged Performance, an I-CAR certified shop, or a shop with an equivalent certification in automotive collision repair or refinishing. All installation instructions must be followed precisely, or the warranty may be void.
What’s Covered:
- Defects in materials or workmanship affecting functionality or safety.
- Finish defects for 1 year, if maintained per our guidelines (for applicable products).
- Remedy: Replacement of the defective part at no cost for the part itself.
What’s Not Covered:
- Labor, shipping, loss of use, inconvenience, lost revenue, or any incidental/consequential damages.
- Damage from impact, collision, vandalism, or accidents.
- Improper installation by a third party (Unplugged Performance labor is warrantied in full under our standard 2 year warranty)
- Modification, negligence, misuse, or failure to follow installation instructions.
- Acts of God (e.g., floods, fires, earthquakes).
- Abnormal or unintended use such as installing on a non-Tesla vehicle.
- Products purchased from unauthorized resellers or third parties, or used parts.

For warranty claims, the customer must submit a written request, including proof of purchase and proof of proper installation to the following:
- Email support@unpluggedperformance.com or visit https://unpluggedperformance.com/contact/ within 30 days of discovering the defect. If an issue is not reported within the duration of a warranty period, then it does qualify for warranty service. Unplugged Performance reserves the right to inspect the allegedly defective product before issuing a replacement. Clear photos of problems should be submitted and additional requests from our team for additional photos or information should be handled promptly or the warranty may not be able to be fulfilled. Installers handling installation of your parts must agree to provide requested information to our team in a timely manner or the warranty may not be able to be fulfilled.
1.2 Final Clearance Items — No Warranty
Definition. Certain products may be designated on the product page and at checkout as “Final Clearance,” “Final Sale,” or “Discontinued” (each, a Final Clearance Item). These items are being phased out and may have limited or no ongoing product support.
Sold “As Is.” Final Clearance Items are sold “AS IS” and “WITH ALL FAULTS.” To the maximum extent permitted by law, all warranties (express or implied) are disclaimed for Final Clearance Items, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement, as well as any warranties arising from course of dealing or usage of trade.
No Returns/Exchanges. Final Clearance Items are final sale and are not eligible for return, exchange, or refund, except (a) for properly documented shipping damage within the timeframes set forth in Shipping Issues or Shipping Damage, or (b) where otherwise required by applicable law.
Parts & Service Availability. Final Clearance Items may no longer have related service parts, accessories, or technical support available. Unplugged Performance does not commit to stock or source replacement or service items for Final Clearance Items.
Program Exclusions. Unless expressly stated otherwise in writing, Final Clearance Items are not eligible for special guarantees or programs (including, without limitation, the Road Warrior Replacement Guarantee, rebates, or trade-in programs).
Non-Waivable Rights. Nothing in this section limits any non-waivable statutory rights you may have under applicable law.
2. UP Carbon Fiber Parts Warranty & Disclaimer
Advanced Manufacturing Process:
UP carbon fiber parts are crafted using state-of-the-art prepreg-autoclave technology and feature our proprietary dry-carbon-kevlar backing layer. Unlike traditional wet-layup or vacuum infusion methods, this process integrates resin during production, delivering superior strength-to-weight performance and exceptional structural integrity.
Finish Options:
- Dry Gloss Base Coat: Highlights the carbon fiber weave with a glossy sheen.
- Dry Satin Base Coat: Provides a subtle, modern aesthetic with a muted finish.
Base Coat Information:
Our carbon fiber parts are delivered with a base coat finish that showcases the natural beauty of the carbon fiber weave. As a hand-laid material, carbon fiber may exhibit minor imperfections—such as slight weave variations or surface irregularities—which are inherent to its craftsmanship and not considered defects. The base coat serves as a preparatory layer, not a final finish.
To achieve full protection and maintain the appearance of your parts, we strongly recommend professional finishing services, available at your local automotive facility:
- Clear Coating: Essential for protecting against UV damage, which can cause fading, discoloration, or cracking of the resin over time.
- Paint Protection Film (PPF): Recommended for safeguarding against scratches, rock chips, and other physical damage.
Without these additional steps, carbon fiber remains susceptible to environmental and physical wear. Please note that the base coat finish is provided as-is, and the warranty does not cover cosmetic issues, including but not limited to UV-related fading, discoloration, resin cracking, scratches, rock chips, or other forms of finish degradation. Professional finishing is critical to ensuring long-term durability and aesthetics.
Warranty Coverage for Carbon Fiber Parts Only:
- 2-Year Structural Warranty: Covers fitment and functionality for the original owner, ensuring the part performs as intended.
- Base Coat Finish: Delivered as a preparatory layer only; no warranty coverage extends to cosmetic outcomes or degradation.
- Compatibility: Designed to be finished with professional clear coating and/or PPF services.
- Exclusions: Warranty does not cover visual degradation, discoloration, or damage (e.g., from UV exposure, scratches, or rock chips) for parts that are not professionally finished.
- Customer Responsibility: It is the customer’s responsibility to have the parts professionally finished for full protection. Failure to do so may result in cosmetic damage not covered under warranty.
3. Steel Body Parts Disclaimer

- Unplugged Performance offers steel body parts for the Tesla Cybertruck. These parts are engineered to enhance the durability and protection of the vehicle. However, Unplugged Performance has not conducted official crash testing on these products.
Crash Testing & Liability Disclaimer:
