Over the subsequent years, Unplugged Performance’s monotube coilovers emerged as the preferred choice for both high-speed Tesla race cars and daily drivers seeking top-notch comfort. In contrast to the commonly used, cost-effective twin-tube design shocks in the Tesla aftermarket coilovers, Unplugged Performance has invested years of research and development to introduce our more affordable Luxury Suspension Kit twin-tube series. This achievement leverages economies of scale and incorporates the highly regarded Unplugged Performance Dual Rate Linear Spring technology. The outcome is a sophisticated suspension kit that offers a degree of adjustability while significantly enhancing the performance and comfort of your Tesla Model 3.

Tuned specifically for the Model 3. The Sport Suspension shocks were designed and developed specifically for the Model 3 factoring in weight, balance, valving and stroke length for optimized sport performance and added comfort as a bonus. These twin-tube shocks offer a longer stroke and include advanced internal hydraulic bump stop technology that offers smoother, longer stroke actuation which reduces harshness at full stroke. The elongated stroke range further ensures maximum performance and comfort over uneven and rough road surfaces.  Tuning calmer rebound without high valve rates results in an increase in stability at higher speeds. 

Adjustable damping for improved comfort.  The level of sport performance to comfort that is desired can be selected and adjusted with the Sport Suspension Kit. We recommend utilizing the preset default damping setting which is optimized for a perfect balance of comfort and performance stability. However, should you desire a specific setting for your application you can follow the quick-reference guide below and make simple adjustments to the shocks by turning the knobs at the top prior to install. 

Optional Dual-Rate Linear Lowering Springs offer more performance AND more comfort. Our Dual-Rate Linear Lowering Spring technology offers two distinct spring rates within a single spring. The initial rate, approximately 25% softer, enhances comfort during everyday driving, absorbing bumps and potholes with ease. When the suspension compresses further, such as during spirited driving, the second spring rate engages, reducing body roll, improving handling, and enhancing grip. This dual-rate design ensures comfort during daily use and a sportier feel when desired.

Offered in three ride height options (if Lowering Springs are selected). The Sport Suspension Kit provides versatility with four ride height options: Mild (0.7” drop), Moderate (1.5” drop), Low (2” drop), Super Performance (1.5” drop). Note that specific applications may yield height variances of up to 0.25 inches.

Lowering is proven to reduce drag and increase efficiency. Given the Model 3’s flat-bottom underside, lowering the vehicle increases the air-flow velocity beneath the car reducing air pressure, and as a result, reduces drag which is the catalyst for the efficiency. The cleaner air beneath a lowered Model 3 can also clean the air at the rear end which contributes to the efficiency improvements.
