Why UP-RW
UP-RW is a forged 6061-T6 monoblock wheel created for real roads and real world scenarios. By making these forged wheels, we provide a wheel that is high strength and lower weight than cast wheels; resulting in efficiency and response. In case you missed the launch of our UP Forged UP-RW wheel, the design itself has a replaceable Curb Guard ring that protects against rash and can be swapped when it gets scuffed. The face profile is aero-forward and was CFD tested to track closely with Tesla’s most efficient production designs. In practical terms, you get efficiency benefits similar to Tesla’s Photon 18 inch aero wheel while gaining forged durability and a cleaner, factory-plus look.
The big news: 18-inch joins the lineup
We have expanded UP-RW sizing to include 18×8.5 for both Model 3 and Model Y. This size adds sidewall for ride comfort and rim protection, some trims might even experience a snappier step-off since rotating mass is decreased, and as the wheel design was intended for, it keeps the aerodynamics intact. This is a perfect daily driver spec that remains compatible with factory hardware and TPMS. All UP-RW packages fit every trim and year of Model 3 and Model Y, including Performance, Long Range AWD, and RWD.
