The 2026 Model Y Performance arrives with serious factory upgrades. Tesla added an all-new adaptive suspension, a revised Performance drivetrain, stability assist modes, and a handmade interior with ventilated front sport seats and Performance branding. There is a new exterior look with updated front and rear bumper elements, a carbon rear spoiler, and 21 inch Arachnid 2.0 wheels. Tesla also notes improved aerodynamics which pairs with a 0 to 60 time of 3.3 seconds and a top speed of 155 mph, while new high-voltage cells support greater charging capacity and an increased estimated range.
We built our Model Y Performance Aero Kit to meet this new benchmark head on. It is a cohesive, front to rear system for the Juniper Performance Trim that installs using factory locations. No cutting. No drilling. Every piece is reversible. The result is an OEM plus look with measurable aero benefits that you can feel in daily driving and at speed.
Our Experience With Model Y, Now Focused on Performance
This kit is not a first step for us. We have deep experience with the refreshed Model Y platform from months of development. We have already tested moderate lowering springs, sway bars, and big brake kits. We validated wheel fitments and beat on our indestructible UP-RW forged wheels with a Tesla Model Y Launch Edition. We have also been using the Juniper platform for UP.FIT, where we upfit Model Y for the future of fleet and public safety. That history matters because it gave us the baseline to tune aero parts that feel native on this new Performance trim.
What Is in the Kit
The Aero Kit includes six pieces that work together as a system:
- Front Splitter
Replaces the lower front trim and extends forward to add front downforce and reduce how much high pressure air gets under the car. - Front Canard Set
Mounts beside the front air inlets with a raised outer fence that directs air around the bumper corners and adds localized front end grip while preserving the factory air curtains.
- Rear Diffuser Extension
Lengthens the factory diffuser and adds two central strakes. The longer exit helps the airflow expand more smoothly into the wake and delays separation. The result is better pressure recovery, more rear downforce, and lower drag. - Rear Fins
Run along the outer rear quarters. They help the side flow stay attached a little longer before it enters the wake. That calmer side flow supports the diffuser in the center. - Efficiency Trunk Spoiler
Extends the rear profile for a subtle long tail effect. It delays separation and raises pressure over the decklid so air leaves more cleanly. Developed through 143 CFD simulations.
- Optional Carbon Mirror Covers
Full wrap covers with subtle inner vortex guides that tidy airflow around the mirrors while adding a refined carbon look.
The Full kit removes all lift in the stock car bringing it to net downforce. Every surface lines up with factory geometry and finish. From a few steps away, the kit reads like original equipment. Only more purposeful.
CFD Development and Proof You Can Feel
We shape parts in CFD to confirm they do more than change styling. In development, the Rear Diffuser Extension and the Efficiency Trunk Spoiler were tested together and showed a reduction in drag of about 40 newtons, roughly 2.4 percent, and an improvement in net downforce of about 534 newtons using a transient model with 30 million cells. Those numbers matter because they translate to steadier highway tracking, calmer behavior in crosswinds, and a more confident feel through long sweepers.
Here is the plain language version. The splitter helps keep high pressure air out from under the car. The canards keep air organized at the front corners. The rear fins guide side flow so less of it spills into the wake too early. The diffuser extension and spoiler handle the release at the rear.
Together, they reduce wasted energy in the turbulent wake and build a more planted platform.
Everyday Benefits
You will notice the difference in familiar situations. The car feels a little more settled on long highway arcs. Crosswinds tug less on the body. Lane changes feel cleaner and more predictable. None of this comes at the cost of comfort. The car remains quiet and easy to live with. That is the point. Subtle gains that add confidence every time you drive.
Trim Specific Fitment Made Simple
The complete package is targeted at the 2026+ Model Y Performance. That is where the system delivers the full balance we designed. If you own a different trim, you still have clear upgrade paths:
Also available for Model Y Premium AWD and RWD or Model Y Standard RWD
- Rear Fins
- Efficiency Spoiler
- Carbon Mirror Covers
For owners of Standard RWD or Premium AWD/RWD cars, the combination of Rear Fins, and High Efficiency Trunk Spoiler deliver meaningful efficiency and stability gains without changing the core character of the vehicle. The fins calm the side flow and the spoiler cleans up how air leaves the decklid. The result is a tidier wake, smoother tracking, and a factory plus look that feels right at home.
Installation That Respects Your Car
All parts use factory mounting points or factory style engagement. That means a clean, tool light install and an easy return to stock whenever you want. The approach is lease friendly and ideal for owners who want reversible upgrades that preserve the integrity of the vehicle.
Why This Kit
You are getting a set that was engineered to work as a system. Each part has a role. The pieces share materials, finishes, and mounting logic, which is why they look like they belong together. For owners who want real aerodynamic value with an OEM plus presentation, this is the right balance of function and design.
