Skydio’s third annual Ascend conference, Skydio Ascend 2025, showcased the company’s commitment to pushing drones from simple tools to essential infrastructure. The event, hosted by Skydio, provided a front-row seat to the future of autonomous flight, with ambitious product reveals and a focus on how autonomous drones are transforming industries like public safety, energy, and national security.

New Drone Products Revealed

While the live stream highlighted the ongoing evolution of Skydio’s drone technology, the new drones that were announced are the Skydio R10 and the Skydio X10. The Skydio R10 is designed for missions in tight quarters, offering durability and low operational costs with built-in lighting, communications, and cloud integrations. It’s a versatile solution for indoor use.

The Skydio X10 was also featured, demonstrating its advanced AI-powered autonomy, ability to navigate in total darkness, and the capability to land on a dock in adverse weather. The X10 is designed for enterprise and government customers, with best-in-class sensors and advanced AI.

In a shocking end-of-event reveal, Skydio also demonstrated the F10, a new fixed wing long range drone product, launching robotically from a Unplugged Performance-built Tesla Cybertruck.   The future of drone deployment is mobile!

Unplugged Performance and the UP.FIT Cybertruck

Skydio Ascend 2025 demonstrated how autonomous drones can operate from rugged vehicle platforms. The event also featured a partnership with Unplugged Performance, which has developed a range of hardcore accessories for the Tesla Cybertruck. While “Cybertruck dock for the F10,” is not yet availbile to order, Unplugged Performance’s “INVINCIBLE” line of products includes a variety of upgrades for the Cybertruck, such as bumpers, rock sliders, roof racks, and LED lighting, all designed to enhance its off-road capability and rugged aesthetic and complete police vehicles that can be later upfitted into a mobile Skydio dock, may be procured via UP.FIT fleet solutions.
